SOBORNOST FOR THE WORLD FOUNDATION is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based on Long Island, New York which was created in 2003 to serve sub-Sahara Africa and many other impoverished developing world countries with school fees, food, medical help, buildings, clean water,
and much needed resources.

Sobornost For The World Foundation will hold a 2nd Retreat Day at Our Lady of the Island Shrine in Manorville, NY on Saturday, October 25, 2025 from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm. Fr. Felix Phiri SMM will be the retreat speaker, Mass will be held at 11:30 am, lunch/refreshments are offered with coffee/tea/ice tea/water.

Topic of the day: "Pick up your mat and walk" Mark 2:11. What might be holding us back from going out into the world with joy, courage and hope? Is anything standing in your way or preventing you from moving out toward others? There is so much waiting for us in God's invitation to live fully! This retreat will explore how we can move * with others as the paralytic was accompanied with his friends * in our need for healing can change our lives forever.
